Turkish design is heavily dependent on the use of ornate calligraphy, geometric patterns and especially floral elements, such as foliage and creeping vines. These forms of decoration reached great heights in the former Ottoman Empire. Turkish Designs contains a collection of carefully reproduced images, with an emphasis on decorations taken from ceramics, mosaics and tile design.
